On November 18 and 19, 2024, the IberLAND project will hold its second workshop: “Vinculação e Herança: A Dinâmica dos Morgadios e Capelas em Novos Contextos Geográficos (Séculos XVI-XVIII)”, organized by Edson Edy S.C. de Brito.
The IberLAND team, invited speakers, and collaborators will gather at the Leibnizhaus (Hannover) to explore the institution of entailed propriety and its implications across diverse geographical contexts. The workshop will delve into how morgadios and capelas (mayorazgos y capellanías) operated and transformed within these new settings.
