On November 19, 2024, the IberLAND project will host the keynote lecture “Waqf Endowments and State Formation in Islamic Lands (1450-1650)”, presented by Prof. Dr. Christopher Markiewicz, associate research professor in Ottoman and Islamic Studies in the Department of Languages and Cultures, and an affiliate member of the Department of History of the Ghent University (Belgium).
The event is open to external participants and will take place at the Leibnizhaus (Hannover). It will also be broadcast via Zoom – prior registration is required through this link.
