On March 6th and 7th, Camilla de Freitas Macedo, post-doc researcher of the IberLAND project, attended the Conference titled “Du «commun» au «public» : concepts et pratiques de l’ordre social dans l’espace culturel ibéro-américain (XVIIIe-XIXe siècles)“, organized by Laura Brondino, Amaia Cabranes, Alina Castellanos Rubio, and Emmanuelle Perez-Tisserant at Université de la Sorbonne (Paris). Camilla discussed the mechanisms used by the Brazilian Empire to convert indigenous lands into state-owned lands during the 19th century.
