Koldo Trapaga Monchet, Professor at Universidad Rey Juan Carlos, visited Hannover between May 12th and 15th, 2024, with the financial support of the Programa Ayuda Fomento de la Participación (URJC) en convocatoria ERC (ref. V1558). He participated in IberLAND’s Sixth Research Colloquium, with the conference titled “Divergent paths towards resilient socio-ecological systems in Early Modern Iberian Empires (15th-18th centuries)”. He discussed with the IberLAND team his ERC-Consolidator Grant proposal, and he also gave the lecture “Othering other landscapes and inhabitants of Early Modern Iberian Peninsula during the 19th century” to students of the LUH. On top of this, he discussed with colleagues of the History Department to begin joint activities within the framework of EULiST alliance.

It was a pleasure for the team to receive him in Hannover. We learned from Koldo’s research, and he enriched our discussions. We hope to continue to collaborate in the future.
