Our colleague Íñigo Ena Sanjuán, Humboldt postdoctoral fellow and associated researcher of IberLAND, was awarded a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellowship to pursue his research on the Pyrenean grassland at the Instituto Pirenaico de Ecología, a research centre of the Spanish CSIC, based in Jaca, and the association for rural development ADECUARA.

His project titled “PYREPAX” focuses on two pastures and four valleys in the Aragonese Pyrenees (Spain), studies the reciprocal relations between human societies and their environments since the mid-eighteenth century until today. PYREPAX aims to understand the past, how it still influences the present, and how it can inspire people to imagine their future.

Congratulations, Íñigo!
