Between July 21st and 27th 2024, our PhD researcher Alina Rodríguez Sánchez attended and presented her current research at the International Seminar of Modern History and Doctoral Workshop of the Vélez Blanco Festival (program available here), event which takes its name from the town in southern Spain where every year takes place.

The workshop, organized by Jean-Frédéric Schaub (École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales) and Francisco Andújar (Universidad de Almería), was attended by twenty doctoral researchers currently affiliated to institutions in Europe and the Americas, who presented their current work to their fellow doctoral researchers, as well as to the panel of professors on modern history composed by the organizers, and invited professors Dario Barriera and Miriam Moriconi.
Every day, after the presentations and discussion time of the workshop, participants had the opportunity to attend the series of conferences on modern history delivered by guest professors, in addition to daily concerts of Renaissance and Baroque music.
