From September 23rd to 27th, 2024, Sarah Limão Papa, PhD candidate at the IberLAND project, attended the 43rd Course of the International School of Ius Commune in Erice, Sicily.

Our PhD candidate, Alina Rodríguez Sánchez, recently participated in the 20th edition of the Asociación de Historiadores Latinoamericanistas Europeos (AHILA) Conference, in Naples (Italy), hosted by the Universita di Napoli L’Orientale, between 2-6 September 2024.

The IberLAND project organized and presented several papers in Goa (India), in August 2024.

Researchers of the IberLAND project participated in the The 13th International Convention of Asia Scholars: Crossways of Knowledge, from 28 July to 1 August 2024 in Surabaya (Indonesia).

Our PhD researcher, Sarah Limão Papa, recently participated in the 46th International Wolfenbüttel Summer Course titled "Early Modern Slavery", held at the Herzog August Bibliothek in Wolfenbüttel (Germany), between 8-19 July 2024.

Between July 21st and 27th 2024 our PhD researcher Alina Rodríguez Sánchez attended and presented her current research at the International Seminar of Modern History and Doctoral Workshop of the Vélez Blanco Festival, event which takes its name from the town in southern Spain where every year takes place.

Our colleague Tomás Catepillán, associated researcher of the IberLAND project, has obtained funding from the National Fund for Scientific and Technological Development (Fondecyt, of the Chilean government), to carry out his research on the indigenous population of central Chile at the Pontifical Catholic University of Valparaíso (2024-2028).
