As previously, through a critical analysis and discussions among participants, these sessions seek to enhance the quality and depth of working papers, within the framework of the project.

The IberLAND project is pleased to announce the presentation of the new book edited by Manuel Bastias Saavedra – Ownership Regimes in the Iberian World (1500-1850), that will take place at the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences (FCSH) of the New University of Lisbon (NOVA), on September 18th, 2025.

On June 24, Guillermo Wilde (ICSOH-CONICET) will give a presentation on the presence of Guaraní normative knowledge in the construction of maps used in land litigation.

On June 4 and 5, 2025, the IberLAND project will hold its third workshop: “Shaping Colonial Normativities. Law, Land and Villages in Goa (16th-19th centuries)”.

The IberLAND project is pleased to announce the presentation of the new book edited by Manuel Bastias Saavedra - Ownership Regimes in the Iberian World (1500-1850). The Normative Role of Kinship and Community, published by Brill, that will take place at the El Colegio de Mexico, on April 4th.

The workshop “Creando derechos sobre la tierra en los mundos ibéricos” will be held from April 3 to 4, 2025, at El Colegio de México (Mexico), co-organized by the IberLAND project and the Centro de Estudios Históricos of El Colegio de México.

The IberLAND project is pleased to announce the upcoming workshop, “Normatividades indígenas en torno a la tierra en la Nueva España, siglos XVI-XIX,” taking place from March 31th to April 1st, 2025, at the Unidad de Extensión Universitaria de la UNAM en Oaxaca (Mexico), co-organized with the Instituto de Investigaciones Históricas of the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México.
